Pushing your limits vs Knowing your limits

I'm sure a lot of you like me, when running, keep debating with yourself about when you should stop for a rest and when you should try pushing your limits?

I used to be one of those people who like pushing limits, not only in running but just life in general, wanting to excel at everything whether it be my school work, debating, or sports, how much money I make and the list goes on... and I think I had to learn the hard way that we all have our limits and we cannot be good at everything, and we need to know that it's okay to stop and rest or at least breathe otherwise you'll either snap or sprain yourself. Although some people are born to be more intelligent or more strong or more beautiful, God is fair, you don't get everything, and everyone only has 24 hours a day to achieve whatever we want to, no more no less. Manage your time and prioritize yourself, and don't forget to breathe.

At the same time, I also feel that waking up everyday, we should try our best to be better than yesterday, and when running, we're not thinking of pulling a record to win anything, we just have to run faster than we did last time, it's not "pushing our limits", it's growing.

At the end of the day, it's like everything else: a matter of balance. Keep running, keep living, keep growing.
