Art, Love and Poise

Mariah carey as we all know has it all, a luxurious life style, fame and a beautiful family, regardless of what the press say about her she is happy. She wrote beautiful lyrics and did angelic singing like "Hero", "Can't take that away", "Through the rain", "Thank God i found you" and "When you believe" which provided, provides and will always provide sanctuary, solace and an oasis for the emotionally lost, depressed and weak.

As a teacher, an educator, I always think why certain people turn out the way they do. Although Mariah is racially mixed and and has divorced parents, she didnt have too much of an identity crisis. Did reading help her with her lyrics? Did her steadfast belief in God help her singing? Most probably.

That's my first example of the formula to poise for most famed and loved women: art and love.

Alicia keys as we all know as well is a gifted song writer who wrote one of my recent favorites: Superwoman. Check the video out and you'll know why I felt so moved at her concert when she said "this is to all the women out there" and sang "even when I'm a mess, put a vest on my chest with an S" and ended the song with "We are super women."

Should I reiterate the formula? Art and love makes poise. 

Locally Fiona sit is the famed singer who suffered from depression but who not only triumphantly fought against it but also sang the amazing "Better Me" as well as acted out an almost perfect mv.

I won't reiterate but that, you get what I mean.

I might or might not write a blog about fame, vanity and breakdowns, like Britney, Amanda and Whitney Houston but to be honest I'm not sure I have the time as well as the mental energy to write something so negative. But someday...
